Burnage Food Bank provides emergency food to people in crisis. Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems. CCSMURC, alonmg with CTIB, were instrumental in setting up the Food Bank.

Originally a local ecumenical group, CTIB, was a Quinity of 5 churches with a formal structure. Doing things together when the best way is collectively. Christ Church South Manchester (URC), St. Bernard's (RC), St Margaret's (CofE), St. Nicholas's (CofE) South Manchester Family Church (Independent). Now a more loosely organised group of members from the first four of the churches mentioned, who exchange news of events and significant moments and maintain long-standing ecumenical friendships.

The United Reformed Church issues Daily Devotions, sent out, via email or on a facebook page, a reading, reflection and prayer for every day of the year. Daily Devotions has grown because it is feeding a need within people to learn and grow as followers of Jesus. Several CCSMURC members receive these.
